Brothers in Arms proudly presents its latest community project: Wake Island 1941-1945.
The terrain was made by our community member Krupanjac and covers 20km² of the pacific ocean, including the Wake Island landmass. The terrain was closely shaped to its real world counterpart.
The island covers 7.5km² in surface area and is mostly covered by dense tropical vegetation. Key features of the island include a 1.8km long runway, complemented by a secondary 250m auxiliary runway, a radar station, control tower, and a series of hangars fortified by walls and watchtowers. Additional infrastructure includes a radio tower, fuel and water stations, a military hospital within the village, coastal battery positions, a dock area, and the villa of the governor. Fortified landing zones at both ends of the main island provide vital defensive positions against potential amphibious assaults.
Situated in the northwest corner is a small island with its own airstrip, serving as a strategic headquarters and staging ground for gameplay purposes. Furthermore, fortified landing zones at both ends of the main island provide vital defensive positions against potential enemy assaults. The terrain performs well and was subjected to a series of extensive tests with up to 80 players on our community Servers.
This map is only the beggining, many projects are on line, and we can't wait to show it to you all soon!
