1. Situation

Following the Russian invasion of the Karslo Islands, British Armed Forces have lost control of the island chain. Despite heavy resistance, Russian forces successfully overran the remaining British defensive positions, forcing surviving personnel to either withdraw, surrender, or go into hiding.

During the final stages of the fighting, several British soldiers were captured by Russian forces. Intelligence reports indicate that the prisoners are being held at multiple locations across the occupied islands, awaiting transfer to a Russian military facility on the mainland.

With conventional military operations no longer considered feasible, US Special Operations Forces have been tasked with conducting a covert rescue operation behind Russian lines. Russian forces have established checkpoints, patrols, and defensive positions throughout the islands, with additional reinforcements arriving to secure their newly captured territory.

2. Mission

-Our mission is to infiltrate the Russian-occupied Karslo Islands, locate and rescue captured British Armed Forces personnel, and safely extract all recovered prisoners from enemy-controlled territory.

3. Execution – Concept of Operations

Phase I – Infiltration Deploy to the designated insertion point and establish a foothold within Russian-controlled territory without compromising the operation.

Phase II – Reconnaissance

Conduct reconnaissance of suspected prisoner holding locations, identify enemy positions, and confirm the presence of British personnel.

Phase III – Rescue Operation

Assault designated enemy facilities, eliminate hostile resistance, and secure all captured British personnel.

Phase IV – Extraction

Escort rescued personnel to the designated extraction point while avoiding or defeating Russian patrols and reinforcements.

Phase V – Withdrawal

Extract all friendly personnel from the islands and return to the designated friendly staging area.

4. Logistics

-All personnel are to conduct final ammunition, medical, and equipment checks prior to insertion.

-Insertion and extraction will be conducted by rotary-wing aircraft, with alternative extraction arrangements available if required.

-Reinsertion and resupply will be limited due to the presence of Russian forces and the risk of compromising the operation.

-Squad-level medical support will be maintained, with additional treatment capability provided by the Platoon Medic.

-Russian forces are expected to operate infantry patrols, checkpoints, armored vehicles, and rapid-response elements throughout the occupied islands.

-Rescued British personnel may be unarmed or wounded and will require protection during extraction.

-Enemy reinforcements are expected to respond rapidly once the rescue operation is discovered. Maintaining operational security and minimizing unnecessary engagements will be essential.
