Situation: It is 10th July 04.00, the main force is preparing to enter the amphibious vessels under the cover of our battleships .Rangers after landing on the Beach will try to secure it so that the other forces can also land. Then they will try to Capture the city of Gela with with its important Port.
After a successful previous air attack, the US 2nd Rangers combined with the US Navy 8th Fleet,in the early morning hours, made a direct penetration and attack on enemy territory. Thus, by inflicting a strong blow on the enemy, the American forces began the liberation of Europe from the Central Powers with this operation.
The American forces were successfully deployed in 16 different ships, and with a fast force with the supportof the American Navy, they rushed towards the enemy's heavily armed coast.
The beach was divided into two parts, the northern part of the beach was named as the red beach, and the southern part, the blue beach. The team was divided into two platoon, each platoon contained 2 squads. The first platoon had an order issued to attack the blue beach and thus occupy the central defensive enemy HQ.
The second platoon had to attack the red beach for work, and thus guard and defend the north side of the first platoon. These attacks were also supported by 3 heavy armored vehicles of the Sherman type, codenamed Fury 1, Fury 2, Fury 3.After successfully capturing the beach, and neutralizing all enemy positions. Platoon 1, and Platoon 2 set out to carry out anorganized attack, which contributed to and directed American troops towards the city of Gela.
While the second Platoon set out to clear the territory north of the first Platoon, the first platoonspotted the first target, a heavily armed enemy position at the top of the hill, at that moment they wereaccurately informed of that location, and according to our intelligence, it was an artillery nest.
In the first rush, the first Platoon was bombed and lost several men, but the first Platoonsuccessfully took an enemy position at the top of the hill. During this time Platoon two, successfully and strongly with the support of Fury 1 and Fury 3, moved on the main road to the city of Gala
Platoon one, after taking up position, headed for elevations 210 and 216, the two key peaks of the hill, which guarded Platoon two, on the west side.
Platoon One and Platoon Two in those positions dug in and waited until further notice for orders from the Supreme Command stationed in Africa at the time. The exact numbers of casualties are still unknown, the only information we have is that the American forces had minimal losses, while the Central Powers lost several facilities, al arge number of people, as well as a large number of weapons and equipment.
