It is October 3rd 1993 in Somalia Capital Mogadishu a US Army Blackhawk Helicopter crashed in the middle of the City. The helicopter has been providing cover for the Delta Team while they tried to locate and arrest two political dignitaries of chairman Mohamed Farrah Aidid.

 

We must save the helicopter crew. Delta Force have to move fast to the crash site and secure the perimeter awaiting for Rangers. Rangers will start moving from Forward Operating base in order to save and return the Blackhawk crew. Operation Commander will decide if the Delta force tries to capture or kill the two Politicians afterwards. If the return of Delta is not possible, this operation will be cancelled. Attention! The members of Delta have violated the orders many times.

 

In the beginning of mission, the Rangers will not have communication with the Delta because of the distance. In addition, the helicopter radio has been destroyed and we cannot communicate with helicopter crew. We hope the crew will remain near crash site in order to help Delta find them. Rangers, Delta and Crew are supposed to make separate briefings for Mission.

 

We must bring the helicopter crew Michael Durant and John Steins back to the FOB in the south and kill or capture the two Somalian Officers Saif Al Adel and Fale Aziz if possible. They should be not far north of the crash site in a big Mosque. This is the Delta Force squad task after they will secure the crash site area and the Ranger reinforcements had arrived. We must move very fast before the night comes.
