Unexpected attack of Brigadists occured in the early morning of April 17th.
With little time to move and organize defense enemies were able to penetrate our defenses and inflict heavy casulties to us, but we were able to repel enemy attacks with the help of the tank platoon.
Friendly forces recuperated in the fortification built by the logistics in the meantime.
Convoy started making their way towards the local village to liberate it, but had to make a stop in the base to rearm and refuel.
When we reached the village 2nd Platoon set up at the hill overlooking the village while the 1st Platoon moved in and cleared the buildings.
With quick clearing of the village we moved towards the airstrip.
While approaching the airstrip we were ambushed by the enemy tanks and infantry, with planes droping bombs and opening fire on the convoy.
Under heavy fire infantry platoons pushed towards the airstrip taking out enemy defences on the eastern side.
With the destruction of all six enemy tanks, push through the airstip was met with little resistance.
Enemy HQ located next to the airstrip was last building to be cleared.
Commander climbed on top of the building, addressed his forces and celebrated.
Operation Successful.
