Early in the morning on June 6th 1944, Luftwaffe reconnaissance units
have discovered a large formation of C-47 planes approaching the
defensive sector of the 91. Luftlande-Infanterie-Division in Normandy,
Northern France. German intelligence specialists suspect this to be a
preceding allied airborne assault that aims to destroy strategic strong
points in order to facilitate a larger naval invasion following shortly
after.
The men of the Flugabwehr-Kompanie 191 (91.
Luftlande-Infanterie-Division) are combat ready and assumed their
defensive positions in anticipation of the pending airborne assault.
