In 2027, the Russian Federation economically collapsed, and the government was forcefully changed by unresting and mad citizens.
Newly formed Russia took a different approach to their foreign policy, going into business and aiming to maintain friendly relations with other countries, mainly Eastern European ones.
New rulers of Russia came clean with all that the previous government was not admiting and strongly tried to fix their relationships with neighbours, 
by sharing technologies and econimic survival strategies which was very much in demand giving the global crisis was taking place.
A year later, the global fuel and financial crisis became such a major problem that not even China, nor the USA nor anyone else was doing fine anymore. The situation was on a knife edge, balancing between WW3 and total chaos with local civil wars.
China and USA have tried to seek partnerships in all around the world, including Africa, South America, the so-called Middle East and Europe.
Many decided to stick with the USA because they initially offered promising pacts and deals. Some cooperated with China. However, most of the oil routes were indirectly going through the USA and their partners.
Eastern European countries, along with Russia, on the other hand, were doing surprisingly well on their own given the critical circumstances. They even formed an Eastern Coalition and didn't want to get into any major commitment with the USA or China.
The USA thought that deals and pacts with the Eastern Coalition would let them get them in a superior position over China.
It all started to go down the moment the USA was trying to force their contracts and arrangements on the Coalition by sanctions and naval blockades.
It didn't work and that's when the risk of the coalition cutting a deal with China became high.
The USA then decided to sabotage the relationship between China and the Coalition by multiple acts of provocations, forging evidence and trying to blame it all on China. The truth came to light after some documents were captured by the Coalition's spies.
Response was almost immediate, USA gave an ultimatum. Start cooperating or go to war — The Coalition refused to believe the USA would start an open war.
At the same time almost everyone outside of the coalition believed that in case of open conflict coalition wouldn't really keep to their word of mutual defense and instead just send econimical aid to an invaded country.
On 14th of April 2030 following air strikes US launched ground invasion on Czech Republic, it soon turned out that those who didn't believe in Coalition were very wrong.
Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegowina, Croatia, Bulgaria and more countries, 
later on including even Finland, combined their forces, and together, they were trying to stop the USA offensive.
USA was forced to open new fronts across the Europe in order to fulfill their obligation to Western European countries and maintain their support in war.
Western European countries didn't directly join the war but provided some help to US forces. China also didn't join the war on the coalition side but decided to support it with resources.
In the first year of the war, the USA claimed many victories and seized the some terrains of Poland, the whole Czech Republic, part of Slovakia and few foot holes on terrains of other Coalition countries.
However, their offensive ceased for another year because the coalition learned how to successfully cooperate, and their defenses were too great for the USA to breach.
In April 2032, the USA prepared to continue the offensive, but the Coalition figured it out and decided that they would act first.
That brings us to the 8th of May 2032, when the coalition launched their own offensive on multiple fronts aiming to push back the USMC and the US army, forcing them to admit their defeat.
