SITUATION

a. Enemy Forces

(1) TALIBAN INSURGENT CELLS: 20–40 pax, soviet era small arms, IEDs, 2x UAZ (technicals), 2x Ural (logistics), dispersed in small groups along MSR routes in Kunar Valley, focused on ambushes near chokepoints like bridges and villages.

MCOA: Hit-and-run ambushes on convoys using IEDs and small arms fire; harassment of aid delivery points.

MDCOA: Squad-sized reinforcement (10–20 pax) from nearby mountain hideouts via footpaths or secondary trails, potentially coordinating with local informants for IED placement in Pazrak.

MISSION

BLACKRIVER PMC conducts CONVOY ESCORT OPERATION from FOB Thunder to multiple delivery points in Kunar Province in order to deliver building materials and medical equipment, provide on-site aid and repairs, secure transit routes, and return to FOB Michigan.

EXECUTION

a. Commander’s Intent

Purpose: Safely transport and distribute humanitarian supplies to support local infrastructure rebuilding and medical needs while denying insurgent disruptions in Kunar Valley.

Key Tasks:

(1) Escort convoy (5x HUMVEE 1025, 1x M997 Ambulance, 3x M923A1 Transport Truck, 1x M923A1 Repair Truck) from FOB Thunder to Richahlam; unload 500kg supplies at Delivery Zone Alpha for bridge reconstruction

(2) Proceed to Gur Kalay; provide medical aid at Aid Point Alpha to middle-aged male civilian with critical blood loss (stabilize via transfusion/field treatment)

(3) Advance to Nangalam; unload 500kg each at Drop Zone Bravo (school expansion) and Drop Zone Charlie (fire station upgrade); engineer repair Ural fire truck at Drop Zone Bravo using M923A1 Repair Truck assets

(4) Move to Dur Kalay; unload 500kg at Drop Point Delta for well construction; engineer expand cellular transmission mast at Transmission Tower using M923A1 Repair Truck assets

(5) Relocate to Pazrak; secure village perimeter and main road to facilitate north-south humanitarian convoy passage; counter potential IED ambush based on intel of terrorist takeover intent

(6) Return convoy intact to FOB Michigan for mission closeout

End State: All supplies delivered (total 2,500kg unloaded); medical aid rendered; repairs completed; Pazrak road secured without incident; convoy and personnel at 100% readiness in FOB Michigan; insurgent activity neutralized or deterred along route.

Risk Reduction: Maintain 360-degree security during stops; mandatory body armor/helmets.

(1) Uniform and Camouflage

Combat uniform: Tan pattern or any CADPAT version; mandatory use of only Western elements of clothing

Headgear: Any helmet in solid color with NVG mounts optional

Plate Carrier: Coyote, Coyote Brown, Olive, or Brown with modular pouches

Civilian attire permitted: Hoodies or flannel shirts; pants in solid color or CADPAT

(2) Weapon Platforms

Any rifle in 5.56 caliber accepting STANAG magazines (PEQ-15, optics: 4x magnification sights permitted only for squad leaders; holographic sights, red dot sights with optional magnifier for other operators; suppressors prohibited)
