COOP Longest Defence

Attack on the Chef du Pont began in the morning. Main force disembarked in the nearby village and formed the line overwatching the town while other Platoon pushed and attacked from the South. 2nd Platoon was in contact with the enemy neutralizing their machineguns, in that time our Sherman pushed up to the Church to support the attack. 1st Platoon that was on the move neutralised enemy sdkfz 222 and Panzer 2 and caputerd the Southern part of the city. With city cleared we establieshed fire positions on our side of the river and made it posible for 2nd Platoon to cross the bridge. Capturing other side of the Chef du Pont was met by little resistance. Once we captured the town we occupied german defense positions on the West. With our Logistics delivering ammo and resuplaying the Tank. Enemy counter attacks began shortly, with Panzer 4 and Tigers pushing the front line. Our riflemen with bazookas were accurate and destroyed every tank that got close. We managed to hold the line for the rest of the day. Friendly Armor battalion came to our assist after some time routing the Germans.
