Operation Summary
A sudden, coordinated assault was launched on Saipan and Andersen AFB by Chinese “Patriotic Forces,” who claim to be acting independently under the pretext of protecting Chinese citizens from oppression. The Chinese government officially denies control over these forces, insisting they are rogue elements. Due to weak political leadership and the absence of a formal declaration of war, the U.S. response has been delegated to the Carrier Strike Group One (CSG-1) to prevent the loss of key U.S. territories in the Marianas. CSG-1 has been ordered to reinforce U.S. positions on Guam, protect naval assets, and interdict hostile supply shipments attempting to deliver anti-ship missiles, SAM systems, armored vehicles, and other materiel to forward positions on Guam and Rota. Intercepts confirm several transport vessels already en route under escort. U.S. Marines and Air Force personnel defending Guam are engaged in heavy fighting and require immediate naval aviation support to stabilize the perimeter. At the same time, intelligence suggests a possible PLA Navy strike group operating further west of Rota. Operation Red Wave marks the opening action of CSG-1’s intervention to halt enemy gains, support friendly forces on the ground, and push Chinese elements out of the Marianas before they can consolidate. Because of the bad weather and spotty satellite coverage, “Patriotic Forces” do not know that you are already in the sector, that’s why their air component will be weak, as the only planes than you can meet are the ones operating from the Liaoning carrier (Kuznetsov-class) or long range H-6 bombers and IL-78 transport planes. Our priority is to secure Guam and then hunt enemy Carrier Group.

Objectives
1) Interdict Enemy Supply Ships
Locate and destroy enemy logistic vessels transporting:
● Anti-ship missiles
● SAM systems
● Armored vehicles
● General equipment and reinforcements
Routes toward Guam and Rota are priority search sectors.
2) Support Friendly Ground Forces on Guam
Provide air support to:
● Halt enemy advances by supporting ground assets
● Enable friendly counterattacks
● Neutralize enemy artillery, armor, and landing forces encountered
3) Defend CSG-1
● Intercept incoming threats to the strike group
● Maintain CAP and SEAD coverage as required
● Prevent anti-ship missile launches from air or sea assets
4) (Optional) Locate Enemy Strike Group
If operationally feasible:
● Identify and report the position of the suspected PLA Navy strike group
● Tracking only — engagement not authorized in this mission phase
