Operation Summary

Libyan forces in the area are posturing aggressively; intelligence indicates preparations for
action. To blunt initiative and protect our carrier task force, we will conduct a limited, focused
first strike to disable surface-to-air missile (SA-3) coverage, interdict hostile logistics on the
ground, and eliminate hostile surface combatants moving toward the carrier group. This is a
tactical, time-sensitive operation intended to create local air superiority and delay/deny
Libyan escalation.

Objectives
Primary
1. Suppress / destroy SA-3 SAM sites defending the Bandar Abbas approaches.
SA-3 Hormoz - Lat Long Standard: N 27°04'06" E 56°27'22"
SA-3 Bandar Abbas Lat Long Standard: N 27°12'14" E 56°19'31"
SA-3 Command Centre Lat Long Standard: N 27°22'17" E 56°20'32"
2. Destroy hostile cargo aircraft parked at Bandar Abbas Intl.
3. Neutralize 3 x Project 1241.1 (Tarantul-class / Corvette 1241.1) that are moving
toward the carrier task force.
4. Destroy the command centre north of Bandar Abbas

5. Destroy fuel tanks at grid

Secondary
● Maintain CAP over the carrier task force and strike packages.
● Protect strike packages from fighter intercept (MiG-21 / MiG-23).
● Destroy the runway at Bandar Abbas Intl if possible.
● Recover strike aircraft to carrier.
