Despite losses inflicted during Operation Red Wave, enemy forces have maintained a foothold on Guam. Friendly ground units successfully pushed PLA elements out of Antonio B. Won Pat International Airport, forcing them northeast toward Andersen AFB. However, the partial failure to interdict enemy shipping allowed cargo vessels to land troops and equipment, enabling the enemy to retain control of Andersen AFB. Follow-on intelligence confirms that enemy cargo ships also delivered basic air-defense systems to Guam, including at least one HQ-7 unit, complicating further close air support operations.

Rota Island has been reinforced with additional air-defense systems and radar coverage, increasing its value as a forward sensor and staging node. Further north, Tinian and Saipan are in the process of being militarized. Long-range SA-10 SAM systems, anti-ship missile batteries, and JF-17 aircraft are being repositioned there. Progress has been slowed by deteriorating weather, but these islands are expected to become heavily defended if not disrupted. A tropical storm system is rapidly closing in on the AO. Thunderstorms, poor visibility, and severe turbulence are already limiting flight operations. This weather window represents a narrow opportunity to strike before conditions halt combat operations entirely. Enemy CAP activity is currently limited, largely due to weather constraints. Possible emergency landing/refuel at Olf Orote airfield or Antonio B. Won Pat airport, airport, might be under fire.

Mission Intent
Operation Dragonfall aims to exploit the temporary reduction in enemy air activity and degrade the enemy’s ability to reinforce, supply, and hold key terrain in the Marianas before weather conditions shut down large-scale operations.

Objectives
1) Anti-Ship Strike
● Conduct a long-range anti-ship operation against the Liaoning Strike Group
● Objective is to destroy or heavily damage high-value units
● Success will directly affect enemy ability to reinforce Guam and surrounding islands
2) Follow-On Tasking
● Support friendly ground forces at Andersen AFB
○ Engage enemy troop concentrations and logistics
○ Prevent consolidation of enemy control
Primary intent is to slow enemy force buildup across the Marianas as much as possible.
