In the spring of 2010, the city of Tottah, located in the mountainous region of southeastern Afghanistan, fell under the control of entrenched Taliban forces. The enemy has establish hastily fortified positions throughout the city, particularly along high ground and key access points, using a combination of IEDs, small arms, and machine gun nests to repel any government advances. Civilian presence within the city will complicate the engagement, requiring careful coordination and precision firepower.
Sanvi Company, a battle-hardened infantry company of the Afghan National Army (ANA), is tasked with reclaiming the city. They will be reinforced by a U.S. Special Forces Operational Detachment, a dedicated US mortar team, and close air support from an A-10 Warthog aircraft. The mission will be executed in phases to regain control of Tottah, restore government presence, and neutralize Taliban influence. The mission will demonstrate Afghan resolve and capability. The city of Tottah must be taken with discipline and honour. Civilians must see their army not just as warriors, but as protectors and liberators.
Sanvi Company will lead the ground assault. US SF will provide operational mentorship and targeting support. All air and indirect fire support will be deconflicted through a joint fires cell.
Rules of Engagement: Avoid civilian harm. Fire discipline is paramount. Escalation of force procedures must be followed.
